Fearwoods is a cooperative survival horror game for up to three players, set in a cursed and hostile forest environment. Players explore a dense wilderness filled with supernatural threats while searching for a way to escape. The gameplay focuses on exploration, survival mechanics, and cooperative decision-making. Players must locate GPS fragments, journal entries, environmental clues, and other objects that help them navigate through the forest and progress toward escape. Light and noise play a critical role in gameplay, as visibility can improve navigation but also increases the risk of attracting hostile entities. Throughout the game, players are pursued by a supernatural demon that reacts to movement, sound, and player behavior. Survival often requires stealth, teamwork, and resource management rather than direct combat. Environmental storytelling, puzzles, and dynamic encounters shape the experience as players move deeper into the forest. The primary objective is to escape the forest by collecting GPS components and restoring navigation systems. While progressing, players can uncover the story of Aveline, whose disappearance is connected to the events within the forest. By discovering her journals and hidden clues, players may attempt to free her soul, which can influence the outcome of the game.
